International. Innovative. Indispensable – RETTmobil 2025 Inspires the Professional World
Fulda – The Heartbeat of Emergency Services: For three days, the 23rd RETTmobil International brought together the global emergency services community – with a clear focus on innovation, exchange, and future resilience. With around 33,000 visitors and 507 exhibiting companies from 27 nations, the leading trade fair once again proved: This is where the industry meets!
International professionals from over 50 countries and five continents flocked to Fulda. Whether from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, or Australia – RETTmobil is now far more than just a trade fair. It is the heartbeat of the rescue sector and a key meeting point for the blue light community.
Politics, Aid Organizations, Industry – United for the Future
At the official opening on Wednesday (May 14, 2025), trade fair director Manfred Hommel welcomed, among others, Georg Khevenhüller, President of the Malteser Relief Service, who took on the patronage for the second time. In his opening speech, Khevenhüller called for stronger support of civil protection – with clear demands directed at the federal and state governments. Hesse’s Minister of the Interior, Prof. Dr. Roman Poseck, also visited to learn firsthand about innovations in emergency services.
Representatives of all major aid organizations – including ASB, DRK, Johanniter, Malteser, THW, the German Firefighters Association (DFV), the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), and units of the German Armed Forces – gathered for the so-called “Elephant Meeting” to discuss current challenges in disaster management. The “Help for Helpers” Foundation also celebrated its 25th anniversary on the sidelines of RETTmobil.
Technology Meets Practice – Hands-On Innovations
On-site, numerous companies showcased new products and developments: Ambulanz Mobile unveiled the new NOVARIS/HORNIS Twinline patient transport vehicle for the first time in Europe, praised for its sustainability and modular design. System Strobel presented a new KTW model with a medium-high roof and an electrically assisted patient transport chair. WAS exhibited a robust Iveco Daily MTW DEKON V with all-wheel drive – ideal for rough terrain. Ewers impressed with a MAN logistics vehicle designed for operations off paved roads.
A particular highlight was the new Rescube V25 from Binz – a modular interchangeable rescue vehicle unit with an upgraded patient compartment. MiniTec also presented an off-road rolling container for operations in challenging terrain.
Live Demonstrations and Drone Technology Impress
The live demonstrations drew great interest. One standout was the realistic joint exercise by the Malteser and Fulda Fire Department, simulating a technical-medical rescue after a car accident, attracting hundreds of spectators.
Technological innovation was highlighted by the presentation of the drone hangar “RescueBeeHive” by the Björn Steiger Foundation and MINTMASTERS. The system, with stationary drones at strategic locations, allows for faster response times in situations such as missing person searches or water rescues – featuring the AI-powered emergency drone “TrueBuddy.”
Also very popular: the large off-road course, which was highly frequented throughout the fair. Ride-alongs in all-terrain emergency vehicles were a crowd favorite.
Highly Relevant and Practical Professional Program
Once again, one of RETTmobil’s cornerstones was its professional program, which attracted great interest with its practice-oriented workshops, training sessions, and expert talks. All workshops were fully booked in advance – clear proof of the enormous demand for up-to-date, practical training in the emergency services field. Topics ranged from tactical patient care to new technical standards and the use of AI in civil protection.
Numerous expert lectures encouraged dialogue with professionals and were well attended by medical personnel, emergency services leaders, and representatives from research, politics, and industry.

The high level of exhibitor satisfaction is reflected in booking numbers. A large number of exhibitors have already committed to RETTmobil 2026.
